Drumshanbo Ceramic Gin – 2026 Year of the Horse

Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin Year of the Horse Edition is the classic Gunpowder Gin in a handmade ceramic bottle, finished in gold foil. Drumshanbo made it for 2026 only, as a tribute to Irish racing champions like Arkle, Red Rum and Yeats.

Made by The Shed Distillery in Drumshanbo, County Leitrim, to creator PJ Rigney’s recipe of oriental botanicals and fresh citrus. Gunpowder tea gives the gin its name: green tea leaves rolled into tight pellets, adding a gentle tea note under the citrus.

Expect bright citrus up front, a little spice in the middle and a clean, balanced finish. Over ice with tonic, it’s crisp and refreshing.

The ceramic bottle is what makes this release worth tracking down. You’ll want to keep it on the shelf once it’s empty, and it’s an easy pick when you’re buying for a gin lover or a collector.
