Ramsay Wines was established in 2001 in the Parkburn district in the Cromwell Basin. With 12.5 ha of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris, it was first cropped commercially in 2006, where the fruit was sold to the likes of Peregrine, Rockburn and Craggy Range, and more recently to Matua, Peregrine, Wooing Tree, Matt Connell Wines and Wet Jacket.
Established in 2006, the label acknowledges the Ramsay’s Scottish heritage and the long association between Scotland and Central Otago. The fruit is hand picked and yeast fermented and aged in oak.
Tasting Notes: Black cherry spice and savoury dried herb aromatics. The palate has a fully textural warm mouthfeel and a long persistent finish. Gold Medal at NZ International Wine Show
